Details:
1. The applicant must be accepted into an NLN accredited nursing program. Must have a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0. Must live in Kansas or be currently employed in healthcare in Kansas. The completed application must be received by the committee 30 days prior to the beginning of the semester for which the application is being made.
Procedure for application:
Submit the completed application with:
1. Two letters of reference, one personal and one professional
2. Provide a summary of work experience and extracurricular activities (volunteer
opportunities, awards, etc.)
3. Submit a one page letter giving a summary of the reasons for pursuing a career
in nursing. This should include how the applicant intends to apply this education
to the practice of emergency nursing.
4. Provide a copy of all transcripts.
5. Provide a copy of the letter of acceptance into an NLN accredited program.
The scholarship committee will review all applications and select the recipients.

Abilene’s Memorial Health System’s scholarship

Details: Scholarships are open to these majors: Registered Nurse, Licensed Practical Nurse, Radiologic Technologist, Physical Therapist, Physical Therapy Assistant, Medical Technologist, Medical Laboratory Technician, or any other health-related profession. After graduating, scholarship recipients will return to Memorial Health System to work for a year for each year they receive a scholarship.
